For just a fraction of the price of a permanent structure, WoodMines can custom-build this attractive and sturdy lean-to gazebo, creating a sophisticated and practical refuge from the rain as well as a safe haven under which to shelter your more temperamental garden plants. Use the outdoor Lean-to as a smoking shelter, covered dining area or to house your garden kitchen, kitchen garden, hot tub or barbecue. Enhancing your outdoor living experience, enabling you to manage alfresco dining, perhaps with the assistance of a wood-burning stove or pizza oven, right through the winter. It’s also the ideal vantage point from which to observe your resident wild birds, with no need to exclude them from your dining table! Calling all twitchers: this is the one for you! All WoodMines products are available in bespoke sizes. A range of timber thicknesses and roof coverings can be selected to create an outdoor retreat tailored to your very individual requirements.
STRUCTURE SIZES:
The Lean To Gazebo has an 18 degree pitch as standard. Noggins are supplied with the bare frame.
The sizes quoted are the width of the structure from the outside edge of the post to the outside edge of the other post. The depth (projection) of the structure is measured to the outside of the posts.
As an example, a 3m x 2.4m Lean To is 3000mm wide (external post measurements). 2400mm deep from the building to the outside face of the post when measured parallel to the floor.
The rafters, including fascia, overhang the main front bearer by approximately 100mm. The roof coverings overhang the fascia by approximately 70mm. Total overhang 170mm.
Two posts will be supplied with structures up to 4m wide.
Overall Heights
Based on a standard 2m head height as you enter the structure, the overall height to the top of the rafters where it meets the property is:
2.4m projection = 3012mm (3.012m)
3m projection = 3207mm (3.207m)
Approximately 30mm will be added to the above to allow for a roof covering.
Based on a 2m head height as you enter the structure, the overall height to the bottom of the wall plate where it meets the property is:
2.4m projection = 2815mm (2.815m)
3m projection = 3010mm (3.010m)
TIMBER DIMENSIONS:
Main roof frame: 150 x 50mm
Rafters: 100 x 50mm
Uprights: A massive 150mm x 150mm are supplied as standard. 2 posts will be supplied with structures up to 4m wide. Extra posts can be added, just let us know. They measure 2.270m long when cut flat at the bottom. If fitted at full height on a hard standing the head room will be 2.270 m. Two 150mm deep braces are supplied. Deeper. longer braces can be supplied at extra cost if required. Please get in touch.
Huge 200mm x 200mm posts are also available at an extra cost.
The rafter ends as standard will be cut to 18 degrees to accept a wooden fascia board which is supplied with the roof coverings.
STONE DRINKS SHELF:
If you are looking for a convenient place to position a candle or drink, why not consider this unique stone shelf? This functional and attractive fixture can be attached at any height and will complement the design of your gazebo. They provide a perfect perch for your drink, without the need for a table.
The stone shelf is initially slid up the post prior to fitting. Silicone can be applied to the tops of the timber supports to securely affix the shelf. The treated timber supports are simply screwed to the post to support the stone shelf at any height you wish. The natural stone measures approximately 600mm.
Bare Frame:
Included in the bare frame price are two 150mm posts, planed all round with chamfered edges.
Pre cut and drilled roof frame, main frame and wall plate.
Top noggins and centre noggins.
Two wind braces.
Fixings to assemble the frame.
Shingle Roof Covering Option:
Included in the felt 'shingle' roof option are enough shingles to cover the structure.
12mm hardwood plywood cut to size.
Eaves trays for the lower edge.
Fascia boards for the sides and lower edge.
Fixings for all of the above.
Shingle Roof Covering With Tongue and Groove Boards Option:
Included in the 'shingle inc tongue and groove boards' option are enough shingles to cover the structure.
20mm pressure treated tongue and groove boarding, cut to the correct width.
Eaves trays for the lower edge.
Fascia boards for the sides and lower edge.
Fixings for all of the above.
What You Will Need:
We supply as much hardware as possible, however, you will require suitable fixings to attach the wall plate to your property, e.g thunder bolts.
You will also require flashing suitable for your property, e.g lead or flash band.
We supply the structure as free standing, i.e, post anchors are not required when positioned on a hard standing.

Details: A durable, flexible and proven shingle tile strip manufactured from specially formulated bitumen asphalt, reinforced with a pre-impregnated glass fibre and finished with resilient and aesthetically pleasing coloured ceramicised granules. With every Felt Shingle Kit, we will supply you with a hardwood plywood roof covering to screw to the roof frame. This will be cut to size in sections. You may choose to stain, paint or varnish the side you will see. This will help prevent mould growth in the future. This is especially worth considering if you have a hot tub under the gazebo due to the steam. Fixings are supplied.
DELIVERY
Once you have made an order we will be in touch. The Lean-To Structure will be manufactured and delivered directly by WoodMines.
